In true capitalist fashion, I've expanded into an Etsy store. But, I'm not selling my self-printed comix and zines, nope- vintage ties instead.  Check out some of these listings for some well made good looking vintage ties at great prices.

Where is the underground?

I'm on a quest for the underground writers. I was on a 4 year hiatus of writing letters and completing my first book (more to come) and I have not been keeping up with Not Enough Liquor in the Universe. Are people still writing mini comics? Are people still creating even if it is just for an audience you can count with one hand?

I was in Chicago 2-3 years ago for the Chicago Alternative Komix Expo (CAKE) with bundles of my 4 issue mini comic "Tormentor Comics" (yes, there are a total of 4 issues (I've neglected this blog)) in hopes connecting with other creators, but was unsuccessful. I'm going to say it is 60/40 me versus the people who are creating.

I'm going to keep looking for the new, exciting, and homemade. I'll be sure to share what I find and I hope you do the same.

Freak Scene!

Whoa nelly! Here is a little gem showcasing some of the leaders in the obscene and absurd of today's mini comix scene. There is a good variety in artistic styles and really just some good weird shit to look at. Jason Karns has a few pages including the cover and I love that. Karns is contemporary king of sleaze, and he has the artistic chops to keep it eye appealing and worth reading. If you aren't familiar with his series Fukitor you need to be. Other names that stick out to me are Benjamin Marra, Tom Neely, Jim Rugg, and Jason T. Miles. Check out these weirdos.

I can't remember if these were ever distributed, but I have a few copies available. Email me for details. I love mailing stuff.
